Sometimes splashing paint around, sometimes applying it carefully, Amelia Audish is always attempting to express the color, the mood, the “thing” that makes a subject beautiful, interesting, and exciting. Amelia is pleased to present new works in watercolor and gouache. This show speaks to her moving beyond what she’s created previously and into works ranging from abstract to representational.
The Theater of the Mind: Images from Leo Malboeuf and Sharon O’Kane Schmeltzer
Friday, July 25, 6 pm – 9 pm
Saturday, July 26, 6 pm – 9 pm
“The Theatre of the Mind” juxtaposes the works of two highly accomplished artists who explore the blurred boundaries of states of consciousness. Leo Malboeuf is a Surrealist painter (oils and digital media), and he is obsessed with creating images that are as unique as possible, many of them inspired by his dreams. Leo studied at the Worcester Art Museum and Rollins College (Florida), and has exhibited extensively in the northeast and Florida, including at the Alliance for the Arts (Fort Meyers) and the Naples Art Museum. Sharon O’Kane Schmeltzer’s paintings are visual metaphors of the inner self reacting to life, and are often developed at a semi-conscious level. After receiving her degree in Art Education from Northern Michigan University, she devoted her career to teaching art in the public arena to students from 4 to 82 years of age, while exhibiting extensively in the Midwest.

Her work blends vibrant flow with minimalist form inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and feel the beauty within.
Vibrating Ink
Friday, August 9th, 6 pm – 8:30 pm
Saturday, August 10th, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
The work in this exhibit by Gaurii S Kumaar reflects a migrating time—past, present, future—through memory. The artist calls them “vibrating ink drawings,” in which everything is destroyed and recreated. Gaurii’s work is guided by the sacred symbolism of Ancient Eastern Literature, Astrology, and the determination of cultural boundaries, which unify and divide. She has received a Dallas Museum of Art Travel Grant 2025. The exhibition will include work by some of Gaurii’s art students.
